Description

PMP1

Change Tips at Start of Run
Change start run method to present a dialogue to the user to allow them to change tips now or later (currently informs them that tips are not loaded and then aborts the run process). The requirement is to allow the user to select to change now, to then move the piston down so as to allow the insertion of new tips and then to re-clamp. Option required in Pipettor options so as to set whether to automatically re-clamp after tips have been inserted or to wait for a user to press a button.

PMP2

Communications Port not Responding Message COMPLETE - included in version 1.1.7
Message to be displayed in place of the ACK timeout message. This indicates that the port is not responding. The text should prompt the user with '..check device and power connections and ensure that the device is switched on..'

PMP3

Incremental Heights
Change to the Move command to allow incremental height movements (positive or negative increments) from either a specific height or from a predefined height.

PMP4

Barcode Auto Retry
Tools - Options - Barcode tab to include a new field to set a value used within the Move command to retry 'n' number of times whenever a barcode misread occurs.

PMP5

Multiple Tip Touch
To be able to specify tip touch off in a number of movements, e.g. touch left side then touch right side etc

PMP6

Multiple Field Editing
The ability to change the values for a number of selected fields, e.g. Select 4 Move commands and change the Plate Type field value to a new value with one entry rather than the current method of changing the commands one at a time.

PMP7

Command Default Values
Field values are 'remembered' as a default setting the next time a similar command is added, e.g. Move command has Plate Type 1 at Stage 1. The next Move command added would show these settings as the initial values.

PMP8

Device Status Querying COMPLETE - included in version 1.1.7
The issuing of the Port Open command ('O') to the device should return sensor status, EPROM version number, axes position addresses etc.

PMP9

Occupied stage when stacker retrieve requried
Move command to use the message that a stage is occupied when trying to retrieve a plate from the stacker by calculating a new height for retrieving to take into acocunt the plate height that is already on the stage (ie instead of using the retrieve_height it is to use the retrieve_height minus the plate_height). This has to assume that the plate tpye on the stage is the same as the one specified in the move command.

PMP10

Custom Pre-Set height values
Extend the Options dialogue to allow a user to create their own pre-set height library. This is then used wthin any commands that use pre-set height values. The height has to be relative to a plate height (eg '2mm above plate', '1mm from bottom of well' etc.).

PMP11

Validation Messages for Tip/Head Changes
The validation process to return a validation fail message if a sequence file requires facitilites that the currently loaded tip/head configuration cannot offer. E.G the use of a sequence file for incremental column movements when the current head cannot perform those movements.

PMP12

Fill reservoir timeout value
The Move command Fill Reservoir should have an associated field which represents a timeout period during which the reservoir is to be filled. If the sensor doesn't return reservoir filled within this timeout period then the standard error dialogue should be displayed (Abort/Retry/Ignore)

PMP13

Move command cut down view/advanced options button
The Move command to display a limited number of fields as standard (no offset values etc) and to have a button 'Advanced' or 'Options' which changes the display to show all fields (offsets etc). This would reduce field clutter which may provde confusing to users.

PMP14

Incremental height adjustment based on volume
New fields representing incremental height adjustments, from a preset height, based on the volume displacement of liquid previously aspirated or dispensed.

PMP15

Pause and stop buttons during file execution
The 'Stop' button to be made to appear and operate as an emergency stop button. Pressing this would immediately abort the run (swithing off barcode readers, pumps etc). The new Pause button would operate as the current Stop button but would issue the command to switch off the waste and reservoir pumps and would switch them back on if applicable when the user restarts the run. Any abort action is to remove the reset device command.

PMP16

Volumetric Calculator saving
The user should be prompted to save editor changes if they select OK whilst in editor mode. The 'Update' button caption should be changed to 'Save changes'

PMP17

Barcode Reader test height
Tools Options Barcodes tab should switch on the barcode reader and then perform a read test, displaying the physical barcode read in a new text field when testing the barcode read height. The reader should be switched off at the end of the test period.

PMP18

Mix heights
The Mix command to enable a user to specify heights at which the aspirate and dispense part of the mix sequence should take place.

PMP19

Change Tip Magazine
Remove the remove tips step during the sequence and combine with a step to remove and replace tip magazine.

PMP20

Head type selection when opening a file
Prompt the user to specify the required head type before opening a sequence file.

PMP21

Display currently installed head and tip type
Display the currently installed head and tip type within the 'information' window.
